London Engagement: Alexandria + Scott

Alexandria & Scott's affection for each other are the types that makes you go "awwwwww" everytime you click your shutter or even when not clicking. They are always holding each other hands, wrapping each other tightly, glancing into each other eyes with major love and giving each other kisses every once awhile.

They are two lovely people with a big heart! I always looked forward receiving emails from Alexandria. Her email is full of love & laughter and that always makes my day. It was important for me & Alexandria to know their story of where she was proposed, thier first date together, favourite activity and etc as this helps us to plan the important shots and locations for their engagement.

The weather that day was sunny but chilly. We started off at Westmister to Southbank and Greenwich Market. During their free time, they love hanging out at cafes, reading books, taking a stroll in the city/park and spending time with their B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L daughter, Lily-Rose. Therefore, every picture taken here plays an important memory/message for the both of them and I am very blessed to be given the opportunity to be part of it :)

When Miss S first contacted me only via email last year, I knew that we were gonna click and yes, we sure did. She is pretty funny lady, making the whole photoshoot session very relaxing till I had to ask her to stop making me laugh or her pictures would turn out blurry.

Miss S, booked an executive suite at Hilton Hotel for the session and the room is G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S and spacious!! Highly a recommended place for boudoir sessions :)

I had an awesome intimate couple boudoir session with two highly professional models; Antoine & Evon. Antoine has the body that makes girls just go speechless and the bonus part is, he is French which makes him even sexier :) As for Evon, I have always wanted to have a photoshoot session with her. She has this amazing oriental, exotic & authentic look which I totally adore a lot. Both models never meet each other before and yet the both of them work their body around each other perfectly and naturally. Camille Dievart is the make-up artist & I loveeee her work, a lovely girl, highly professional and even help around during the shoot.

I had a wonderful time when I went back to Miri during this CNY. Not only I get to finally meet up with my good friends & catch up and eat, laugh and cry but also, Christine and I had a very memorable & touching moment with the children at the land fill which I did a video documentary about it years ago.

We initially wanted to find Jessica but we couldn't find her on the first day so we got to know 6 more children! They are B.E.A.U-TIFUL!!! They were pretty shy at first but after teasing them and sharing the pictures I took of them, the kids started to love the camera.

OMG, I LOVE THEM TO BITS!!

Christine and I returned the second day to pass them some pics which I took earlier on and we discovered another part of the landfill. The location was bigger compare to 3 years ago! Upon arrival, we saw the kids playing around happily. We got down from the car and we have a 340 degree mountain view of rubbish! The smell was unbearable at first but after lots of talking & laughing with the kids, we totally forgotten where we were and was immune to the smell.

We found Jessica on the second visit and I was truly happy and excited to see her again. Her eyes are gorgeous!!

But sadly, nothing has changed for her since I last saw her instead it became worst. She does not go to school anymore and IF I am not mistaken, the Buddhist Association has stop visiting her.

Most of the children are unaware of their age and clueless as to whom the parents are. They still scavenge through the landfill in hopes to find whatever they can utilize or consume to reduce their starvation. It is truly heart breaking to see them in this situation. ANGELINA JOLIE & OPRAH, GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!!!

Does anyone know how Christine and I can open a legal charity fund for them? Any guidance, advise or help you can provide to us is truly & highly appreciated.

Angel is Rachel's (one of my best girl-friend) sister. Knowing the rest of Rachel's family members are truly a privilege. They are an amazing family with great sense of humor, love and care for other people around them.

Now knowing Angel is engaged to Alvin, I am truly happy when I was informed. I never really get to know Alvin until I was in KK for a few days early last month. I can say, he definitely fits well in their family as well. I love them all to bits!

I am truly happy to photograph their casual engagement photos. They were both exhausted from attending a wedding the day before and yet they both endlessly put a big smile, energy and love for me throughout the photoshoot session.

I am so happy to be able to make it to this beautiful wedding held in Bundu Tuhan. Not only I get to meet my lovely friends in KK and have an awesome time with them but I also get to see magnificent view of Mount Kinabalu. I actually never witness a clear view of sunrise before because (1) no perfect place to view it in Miri (2) I don't wake up early mornings :)

It was a beautiful wedding ceremony. I had teary eyes for a few moments. From the moment the bride and groom met at the altar, their parent's, bridesmaid and best men emotion, I can feel so much joy and love for the couple. The speech given by the groom, bride's father and sisters are truly sincere and heartwarming. I HEART WEDDINGS!!!

Unfortunately, I would love to upload these pictures but due to bride's wishes, she prefers to keep the pictures private but small details of the wedding is allowed :) Fortunately, I can only show this work in person, so *yay* !!

Bun in the Oven session with Anna

I had a maternity session with gorgeous Anna Banana (that's what she nicknamed herself) few days ago. She's a gym instructor from Brazil. She's so funny and friendly which makes the whole session super fun. Anna is only 4 months pregnant and she wants a photoshoot session in Malaysia before she leaves to Brazil in another 2 weeks time. So I've been rushing and editing her photos. I wish her husband could join her for the photoshoot session but he had to work so the whole session was only Anna and her baby girl :)

If you couldn't follow up with the subtitles while trying to see the image at the same time.. then, here is what she said..

I'm 76 years old. I've been living here for 42 years. I sleep at 7pm and wake up at 5am. I always go for walks as I don't feel at peace at home Everyday I look for tin to sell, to buy food to eat.. To buy vegetables, to buy gas.. How can I depend on firewood to cook? But I can't even reach 1kg a day... It wouldn't be enough if we just depend on the social welfare to give us money once in every two months. Everything is so expensive right now... To drink, we only have rain water but it has to be boiled or else our stomach won't be able to take it.... Jessica, my 7 year old little grandaughter that goes to school, does the washing. Without Jessica I won't be able to do any washing.. my body aches here and there. Her mother was murdered. I don't now about Jessica father, ever since Jessica's mother passed away, he never came back... maybe he does not want Jessica... I don't know... Jessica's grandmother is my elder sister. They are all dead. Her grandmother had died, her grandfather had died, her mother had died. Her father had gone back to Indonesia. She does not have a father anymore. But it is okay. She still have my relatives here to take care of her. All my children were already 21 years old, 15 years old, 30 years old... they all have passed away, and also their father. One left for Indonesia, she left for marriage, whether she is alive or not, I don't know. I'm Jessica's guardian now and she is all I have...

I am sorry to say that Nenek Inyak passed away not long ago after our production ends. We had no idea till months later... Our film was nominated on national TV and we initially wanted to bring Nenek Inyak along to the ceremony but found out she passed away. Jessica is now living with a neighbour, still at the dumpster area. Our film won the category for Jury's Choice Award for Best Cinematography therefore we were awarded with a trophy and cash. We decided to share the cash with Jessica. We were advised not to give cash directly to her so we bought some food, clothes & shoes for her and the rest of the money were given to the Buddhist Tzu Chi Society to purchase more stuff for her in future.

I remember walking to the dump area for the very first time to capture some images for story boarding. The smell was intense but not to the people living there. There were flies everywhere, maggots and huge mountains of rubbish just across their home. When we were there, we were not welcome by her neighbours. They were aggressive and rude and demanded money from us. They thought we were some professionals from some TV station. The Buddhist Tzu Chi Society who has been helping Nenek Inyak talked to the neighbours and explained our motives but since the crew consist of only four girls and we were still afraid of our safety so we were thankful to have some male friends to accompany us during the whole production coping with the odour there for hours.

Yeap, those are flies....

Jessica's mother was murdered by her stepdad which was about two houses away from the ones they were living. Jessica can't read at all and seem to be struggling in school with studies and bullies. Thanks to the Buddhist Tzu Chi Society in Miri, they were helping Jessica with school fees, food and clothes. I remember at one point when shooting, I saw her neighbour took out a loaf of bread which are full of fungus. I just couldn't continue watching. Everyday, they would wait for the dumpster truck to come and then they'll go hunting for food and whatever they can make use of. There were lots of flies everywhere and just imagine, you do not even need a boom mic to record sound of the flies buzzing, you can literally hear it buzzing loudly beside your ears.

I should be thankful for what I have and stop complaining. I have not hear about Jessica for 3 years now and I am wondering how she is doing now. I'll make a visit to the Buddhist Tzu Chi Society to get an update the next trip I'm going back to Miri. So people, whenever you are being unreasonable and complaining about life, think about Jessica and Nenek Inyak and start appreciating what you have in life.

Here are my two little monsters who drives me crazy at times... Michi(7) & Miyoko (3). It is their first time celebrating Halloween. When I was younger, my mum LOVES, i think love is such a small word to use, I would say, OBSESSED dressing me up as a witch EVERY YEAR!! Sometimes I am a black witch, and sometimes I am a white witch.

It was nice seeing my nieces dressing up. Mum wanted to dress Michi up in an Angel costume but my dad says Halloween does not have Angels! So my mum got her a devil costume instead and i think it fits her personality just perfectly! (just kidding)As for Miyoko, she's a little Pumpkin! Cute cute cuteeeeee!!

A photoshoot session with 4 girls, Haze, Pearl, Ashley and Kimberly. It was a SUNNY SUNNY day and I could feel burning sensation all over my body. We shot in an abandon train and also in Putrajaya. Both the location are gorgeous!!! I definitely would love to go back there again. Haze's friend has a Fairlady 350z and the girls wanted to have a shoot with the car but then again, because of the bright sunny sun, we couldn't really shoot.

The owner of the 350z is gonna sell off his car so he requested me to take a few shots of his baby. Here are the pics :)

I've been sitting here since 12pm till 9pm editing these pictures. Why so long? All these pictures are taken from Canon 5D Mark II at 21mpx so loading it on Adobe Lightroom to Adobe CS3 and editing it bit by bit takes a very very long time for a picture!! My Mac kept lagging for awhile so yeah... I already feel like puking looking at the screen the whole day.... I'm gonna continue another batch tomorrow so more pictures from this photoshoot will be loading up here soon.

Rain rain go away, come again another day!! bahhh!! Been raining a lot in KL. I don't mind the rain, is the lightning and thunder I am afraid of. For some reason, its much more dramatic than in Miri. I always say to myself, if my dogs are here, I bet they will be Marley number 2 or die of heart attack...

While makeup artist, Marilyn Lim is busy with her masterpiece with Kim Dao & the photographers are busy setting up the backdrop, lights and etc, this ~~cat~~ DOG is sitting by the window and God knows what she is looking at.

While photographers were setting up the place for the Jellybean shoot, again the ~~Cat~~ I MEANT DOG!! For God sake, it's a DOG DOG DOG RUBY!!! :) AS I WAS SAYING, the DOG, New York decided to make herself comfy on that box.

This is the most tiring photoshoot I ever had in Perth. Christine and I had 5 hours photoshoot session with 6 models with different themes. It was awesome! Thanks to Claire Randall who arranged these photoshoots with Christine and let me tag along too.

Christine and I rented a studio in town and it is gorgeous! Old, but spacious! Staff there are very helpful and attentive! Plus, it was in a very reasonable price! Not what you can get back in Malaysia!

I have not finish editing the other 5 girls yet. Only managed to finish one set first so here are the results :)

Casual Photoshoot

My first photoshoot collaboration with Christine in Perth. It was a fun & thrilling experience to sneak into places we are probably not allowed to.... :P I am so happy to finally be here and plan photoshoots together with Christine. We have photoshoots almost everyday and I love every bits of it except editing tons of pics after that till wee hours in the morning! How I wish this is a full time job for me.

Model is Philip and he is such a pretty boy in person. Extremely tall person but from my height, everyone is extremely tall! $^&%@!! Anyway, thanks Christine for a wonderful photoshoot session and crazy editings together! Here are the pictures:

Underwater Photography

Been wanting to shoot underwater for a pretty long time already. Words but no action for months... One of the reason is that, I do not have a underwater camera. Thanked God my older sister has one and kindly lent it to me.

The photoshoot was 2 weekends ago. It was exciting and at the same time, very difficult thing to do. It was difficult for both model and photographer to stay in water & also balancing ourselves. The model, Sarah, is amazing! Very enthusiastic, passionate and self-confidence.

There will be another Underwater Session in the next few weeks. Hopefully it will turn out better :)
